Life is Beautiful!

Last night I attended my niece’s final band concert. She is a senior this year. The last of our kids going to school. Kind of a bittersweet occasion. They did exceptionally well. My niece plays percussion and has for years.

Its kind of exciting and sad all at the same time. All of my brother’s children and mine are officially adults. Mine, getting married in July. We are headed into new endeavors. Life is changing and is still beautiful.

Life happens and you just have to enjoy what it is bringing you at any particular time.

Next adventure will be Caelan’s graduation in June. Then on to the graduation party in July. It will be a picture-perfect event. One week before my son’s wedding. Which will be extravagant. I’m going to have a full month in July.

So, I have my dress for the wedding. I’m fighting with myself over a dress for the rehearsal dinner. I have two I can’t decide over. Next project is to get my dad to Men’s Warehouse and get him a suit for the occasion. This should be a feat. He is known for his safety yellow shirts and sweatshirts and sweatpants. Do we rent or do we buy? I can’t think of any other reason he will need a suit in the near future. My nieces and nephews are years away from settling down. Looking at some of the prices, it might just be cheaper to buy. But, it’s dad’s decision to make. It’s his wallet.

My son, Alex, is having nightmares over his grandpa wearing his titmouse tee shirt. The one he wore for my niece’s prom that says, and I quote, “Nice tits.” Those were the funniest pictures and everyone was a good sport over it. I think grandpa needs to put that shirt away and bring it back out at Caelan’s wedding, many years from now…

I’m looking forward to having a new daughter-in-law. I know she will be a great addition to our crazy family. Hope she knows what she’s in for… She always has a smile on her face and has a great sense of humor. I think she is a good match for my son. Both are very easy going.

So, despite last week’s blog being a little gloomy, I do see that life is constantly changing. It has it’s ups and downs. You just have to wade through because the good is so worth it. There is always something worth waiting for right around the corner. Live life to the fullest, laugh everyday and smile often. It’s all going to be okay. Thanks for reading.
